Fiery Gizzard – A Start to 2018
It’s the start of the 2018 travel season — time for hiking, being outside and on the road. This year starts with a trip to Fiery Gizzard.
This was my first trip to South Cumberland State Park. I traveled with a friend and Snoopy. The weather was excellent — 50’s to low 60’s during the day and 32 or so at night. No rain. That is hard to beat. We hiked on both Saturday and Sunday. Short hikes but the “strenuous” rating for the trails are deserved. Also of note: the trails were in good shape and well marked.
Snoopy provided a comfortable abode. There were no hook-ups but the battery was sufficient to have lights and run the furnace at night. We enjoyed a campfire both nights.
I suppose the best part of this blog is the photos. I hope you enjoy them.
Awesome pictures.
Everything was perfect for pictures: the weather and the location.
Amazing pics. Thks for sharing your adventure!
